Job Description
We are looking for a precise and efficient Data Entry Clerk for US Customs to support our import operations. This role is critical for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of documentation to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) This role focuses on transcribing shipping data for U.S. Customs clearance, with a focus on high-value cargo like jewelry and diamonds.
Key Responsibilities
Data Input: Enter shipment details from invoices and bills of lading into our customs software with 100% accuracy.
Compliance Review: Check documents for missing info, HTS codes, and regulatory requirements (CBP, Fish & Wildlife).
High-Value Processing: Handle sensitive data for specialized commodities and Kimberly Process certificates.
Filing Support: Assist with Importer Security Filings (ISF) and maintaining digital entry records.
Qualifications
Experience: Fast, accurate typing/data entry skills (Customs/Freight Brokerage experience preferred).
Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors in complex numeric data and legal descriptions.
Tech Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook) and general office software.
Communication: Professional phone and email etiquette for client and carrier interaction.
Must be able to pass background check.
