Job Description
Linn County Title, LLC/Livingston County Title, LLC has one full-time position to be filled immediately. The position, will be primarily in the Brookfield office, however there will be days this position will require work to be done in our Livingston County Title, LLC, office located at 718 Washington Street in Chillicothe, MO.
Applicants must be able to pass a background check, have a positive attitude, be self-motivated and be able to obtain their notary and producer’s insurance license through the Missouri Department of Insurance. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, operation of standard office equipment, telephones and customer service experience are required. Knowledge regarding the Title Insurance industry, the various types of conveyance deeds, familiarity with legal descriptions and real-estate closings is preferred, however, we are willing to train the right applicant for a long-term career opportunity. After training and licensure, the position could include some potential for advancement.
Both Linn County Title, LLC, and Livingston County Title, LLC are growing businesses in the Title Insurance Industry. Here, you will work directly with others to research the history of real estate within our Counties. We work alongside real estate agents, lenders, property surveyors, county recorders, assessors, tax collectors, court offices, our clients and their families to ensure proper transfer of real estate.
This position is part of a fast-paced environment and requires typing skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and work as a team, willingness to learn, a positive attitude and ability to work with customers and business affiliates.
Responsibilities
- Conduct title searches and examine public records to verify property ownership.
- Prepare title commitments, policies, and endorsements accurately.
- Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, and clients to facilitate smooth closings.
- Review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to real estate transactions.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and industry standards.
- Utilize premium skills such as underwriting and loan origination to support the title process.
- Confidentiality is a must as much of what we do is not public record.
Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch break.
Salary will be based on experience. Partial-pay health insurance is also optional.
Benefits include accrual of sick and vacation time (with use being allowed after a 90-day probationary period), most holidays as well as two floating holidays paid, paid training and licensure, voluntary participation in a Simple IRA plan with employer matching up to 3% and a $10k life insurance option.
